Helen Krieble

President

Helen Krieble is the founder and president of The Colorado Horse Park, the largest horse park west of the Mississippi. She has served on numerous boards and commissions, is the recipient of dozens of awards and is active in many organizations working to support free enterprise and entrepreneurship nationally and internationally.

She is a noted leader in the national debate on illegal immigration and the author of “Two Paths to Safety: A Private Sector Initiative to Break the Illegal Immigration Deadlock.” Helen’s creative and practical approach to the immigration issue has also been widely covered by the news media.

Helen holds a B.A. (cum laude) from Harvard-Radcliffe and an M.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, in addition to post-graduate work at John Hopkins. Raised in Connecticut, she is a renowned art historian and has developed nationally recognized art lectures, exhibits and workshops. She was an Assistant Professor of Art History at Hartford College for Women, served as CEO of three major art galleries, and Curator of Education at the Wadsworth Athenaeum. She served as a Regent at the University of Hartford, and on numerous boards and commissions, including the Denver Art Museum, the Free Congress Foundation, Radio America, the Colorado Horse Development Authority, the Colorado Horsemen’s Council and the Vernon K. Krieble Foundation. She is also a founding board member of the Leadership Program of the Rockies, one of the most highly acclaimed and successful political leadership training programs in the country.

Brian Curry

Vice President

Brian Curry is originally from Long Beach, California and now resides on his 40-acre ranch in Deer Trail, Colorado. He found his passion for horses in 1997 and has been in the horse industry ever since. In 2005 Brian became Facility Manager and is now Vice President. He has managed employees, and maintained and built many of the features found at the Park, including arenas, permanent barns, upper show grounds and the new cross-country courses.

Geoff Combs

Chief Financial Officer

Geoff Combs grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona and now resides in Elbert County. He has his Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Administration from University of Nevada, Las Vegas and his MBA in Accounting from University of Phoenix. Geoff has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality business and joined CHP in 2006. In 2008, Geoff became a licensed CPA in Colorado. He is responsible for all phases of accounting for all the activity at the Horse Park. Geoff has added some additional duties in 2013 including website and social media updates, sponsorship/advertising/public relations coordinator and horse show secretary for the new A shows among other duties. In his spare time (he does have some), he likes to SCUBA dive as much as possible and attend the Star Trek convention in Las Vegas every August.

José Morales

Facility Manager

José has been with The Colorado Horse Park for three years and loves his job. As facility manager he gets to experience a variety of tasks each day. From building new structures to preparing the arenas for competitions to the organizational tasks in the office, José welcomes it all. In his free time, José furthers his skills and handiwork in both painting and woodworking.

Lisa Klymkow

Office Manager

Lisa Klymkow lives in Parker close to CHP. She has been involved in the horse community for more than ten years, including spending time on the show circuit with her daughter. Lisa joined the CHP staff in October 2010 and enjoys working in the management side of the industry.

Carole Kenney

Equine Manager

Carole’s devotion to the welfare of horses is legendary. She has been actively involved in the A circuit world of hunters and jumpers for more than 20 years. Carole is also the show manager for several popular horse shows.

Javier Morales

Special Projects Manager

Javier was part of the crew that helped build High Prairie Farms (now CHP) back in the 1990’s. Javier has helped with all phases of the facility, including working on the cross-country course for the eventers, building the new jumps that will be used in the summer circuit for the hunter/jumpers and building the new outdoor stalls behind the main facility, just to name a few.

Vivien Van Buren

Entertainment/Clinics Coordinator

Entertainment/Clinics Coordinator Vivien opened her entertainment tour management firm in New York City and managed the Duke Ellington Orchestra, as well as produced major concerts including Roberta Flack. She is on the Board of the Douglas-Elbert County Horse Council and Bijou Springs Hunt.
